The RBHS Office of Interprofessional Programs is excited to introduce a new seven-week paid summer interprofessional program, Equity in Action Summer Internship Program (EASI) at Rutgers University. This program is open to Rutgers graduate health professions’ students in good academic standing.

The program will focus on social determinants of health with a social justice lens (e.g., racial equity, environmental justice). Students will work in interprofessional teams of 3-4 and will be placed at one of our participating community sites in the greater Newark or Central New Jersey areas where they will co-create a program with the guidance of a community site preceptor and EASI co-directors.

Interprofessional teams of students will develop a deep understanding of social determinants of health by working directly with the people served by an agency, reviewing and discussing evidence-based materials, and attending in-person and virtual workshops that will provide new skills and a broader understanding of diverse populations who are under-resourced.
