Kelly Ann Peña, M.S., CCC-SLP, CBIST (she/they) is the Assistant Clinic Director of the RU-CLP Clinic in Rutgers University’s Masters in Speech and Language Pathology program. She is a multilingual Latina clinician with a significant interest in neurogenic communication disorders, clinical education, cognitive communication, and interprofessional practice in pediatric and adult populations. Kelly’s professional and clinical experiences in interprofessional practice extend across various medical settings, including the NICU, PICU, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation, where she worked collaboratively with diverse healthcare teams, specifically in the area of brain injury. She is the SLP counterpart in Rutger’s Summer Head Injury Collaborative Clinic  (SHICC), alongside OT and PT, and the Interprofessional Practice Champion for the SLP Program.

Kelly supports the creation and continued development of SHP’s IPE events. She also continues to advocate for research in the area of interprofessional practice at SHP, especially as a part of faculty scholarship, as well as building interprofessional practice learning opportunities for students in the RU-SLP Clinic and beyond, including nutrition, social work, as well as other community partners. Kelly currently serves as the President of the Hispanic Caucus for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
