Michele Roberts, EdD, RN, CNE
Michele Roberts, EdD, RN, CNE is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Educator at Rutgers School of Nursing (RSON). Serving the school in various capacities, Dr. Roberts facilitates simulation-based clinical learning activities for RSON’s baccalaureate and advanced practice students, collaborates with course faculty to develop innovative, application-focused learning experiences for students, and promotes the mission and vision of RSON by participating in funded initiatives that advance the science of nursing education. She has been instrumental in developing processes to ensure that the simulation curriculum is congruent with course and program outcomes, consistent with current best-practice recommendations, and aligned with essential competencies for nursing practice identified by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
Since joining the faculty of RSON in 2018, Dr. Roberts has facilitated multiple interprofessional education (IPE) experiences for students across Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences programs. Her work in this area has greatly enhanced her appreciation of the value of interdisciplinary care in promoting health and wellness for all populations. She aims to explore avenues for expanding undergraduate IPE experiences through her committee work within the Office of Interprofessional Programs, and in collaboration with faculty in the School of Health Professions.
